Who recognizes this shirt? I actually used it in a previous DIY project, the open heart t-shirt. Because the shirt was a little big for me I decided to re-use it for this project. Since I am talking about the size of the shirt, this is an XS from Gap. Does anyone else find Gap sizing to be inaccurate?
This DIY shirt is fantastic for summer, I find it particularly cute for throwing over a bathing suit or even over a sports bra or fitted tank. If you care to share how you wear open-sided tees leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you!
Once again, this is a very simple DIY project. All you need is a t-shirt (or tank top) and a pair of scissors!
Step 1: Starting at the bottom of the shirt (on either the right or left side) cut straight up to the arm pit.
Step 2: Repeat on the other side.
Step 3: Knot the two pieces on each side together at the bottom of the shirt. I find this easiest when I am wearing the shirt.
I love DIY shirts and other similar projects! If you have a DIY project that you think I should try leave it as a comment or send me an e-mail.
Thanks for reading and have a fantastic day!
