Empties and Friday’s Favorites

Happy Friday! I hope all of you have exciting plans for the weekend. If you do not, feel free to hang around the blog all weekend leaving comments, I would love to make it more interactive. If you have any suggestions for making the blog more interactive please let me know, I would really appreciate it!

Now, let’s get to today’s two part post: empties and favorites!

First up, the empties!

Empties!

Empties!

-Redken 5th Avenue Align 12 Ultra-Straight Balm: Finishing this product breaks my heart, it is without a doubt my favorite straightening balm. I will definitely be re-purchasing this product. Have you ever smelled this product? It smells amazing. Click here to learn more about Redken straightening products.

-Maybelline New York Mineral Powder – Natural Ivory

-Avon Brightening Concealor

-Noxzema Triple Clean Anti-Blemish Pads: These were featured in my ‘Rainbow Tag’ post. They are a life saver in the summer. I have a question for anyone who has used these before – what does the smell remind you of? It has a very distinct smell but I cannot figure out what it reminds me of!

-CG Professional Loose Powder – Translucent Fair: Even with regular use this product lasted longer than I anticipated. I may re-purchase this, but first I have a few DIY powders I would like to try. Stay tuned!

-Gillette Satin Care Floral Passion Shave Gel: I purchased this on sale after being disappointed by a DIY shaving cream. This is definitely a new favorite.

Now for Friday’s Favorites:

Favorites!

Favorites!

-Remember the water bottle featured in the ‘Rainbow Tag‘? It may sound strange but this is still one of my favorites. I use this all day, everyday!

Australian Gold SPF 30 Spray Gel with Bronzer is also making a reappearance. If you’re like me and you prefer (read: look better) with a glow, try this. I have always hated wearing SPF because I wanted to get a color and with this product, it is possible to do both! I also love the way it smells. Just remember, let it try completely before putting clothes on over it. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take long!

-John Frieda Full Repair -Full Body Shampoo & Full Body Conditioner. My hair tangles very easily and this is the first shampoo I have used that really reduces tangles. After using these two products I do not feel like my hair needs any other product. To see the Full Repair line from John Frieda click here.

-Deseo by Jennifer Lopez. I cannot help but love this perfume. It is a subtle but enjoyable, long-lasting fragrance.

EOS Lip Balm: Are you really surprised? I am still a huge EOS fan, and I am also still looking for ways to reuse the adorable packaging for future DIY beauty products. Let me know if you have any suggestions! Strawberry Sorbet is currently my favorite of the EOS lip balms. What is yours?

-EOS Shave Cream: After falling in love with EOS lip balm I decided I had to give this a try when I stumbled upon it while shopping. I wish it were thicker but it is super moisturizing and smells absolutely amazing. I know I say that a lot, but I mean it. I would love to find more pomegranate-raspberry scented products!

-Simply Venus (3 blades) Disposable Razors by Gillette: This may not be the fanciest razor on the market, and it certainly is not the most expensive, but it works well. It is definitely among the best of disposable razors.

-Revlon PhotoReady Foundation (003 Shell): This is one of my favorite liquid foundations! I love the results!

-L’oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow – 520 Eva’s Violets: Ladies, if you have brown eyes, your task for the summer is to rock purple eye shadow. Deal?

That is it for today’s empties and favorites. Have you recently blogged (or vlogged) your empties and/or favorites? If so, leave a link in the comments section!

Thank you for reading. Be sure to check back soon and spread the word.

I hate the fact that EOS lipbalms aren’t available in South Africa, I always have such FOMO when i see international bloggers and youtubers rant over them. Ebay Shipping to SA is so ridiculous, in the end it costs more than the lipbalms. Oneday I WILL HAVE THEM!

Every time I see them I am tempted to buy more… especially when they go on sale!

Haha it’s so bad! I only really use one at a time so I have no idea why I feel the need to own all of them lol

I love all the products in John Frieda’s Luxurious Volume line, especially the mousse. Even the packaging makes me happy – it’s a pretty shade of blue. 🙂
